The Montcalm Hotel Nikko
London is one of London's top luxury hotels offing 120 spacious rooms,
duplexes and suites for the discriminating traveller. The hotel is a
serene oasis in the heart of London. Located in a quiet, tree lined
Georgian Crescent in the exclusive Marble Arch neighbourhood of London's
West End, the hotel is just steps from Hyde Park and Oxford Street, yet
miles from the hustle and bustle of city life.
All rooms are fully air
conditioned with private fax and modem access, colour printer and
photocopier. Voicemail, satellite TV and Blomberg channels, in room safe,
trouser press, minibar, hairdryer and en suite bathrooms with bathrobes,
bath and power shower. With it's elegant ambience and exclusive address,
The Montcalm has welcomed travellers since 1973. No effort or expense has
been spared to create an inviting haven that satisfies the needs of even
the most demanding guests. For instance, The Montcalm recently installed
London's first low-allergen bedroom specifically for sufferers of asthma
and related allergies. All fabrics are made of special materials, the
mattress is encased in a dustmite-proof covering; and special filters
provide a continuous supply of fresh, clean air. The hotel's Bridal Suite
is also famous: In addition to sumptuous furnishings and a luxurious
bathroom featuring a deluxe-size Jacuzzi, it boasts a canopied waterbed
for a very special evening a deux! The Montcalm offers 24
hours room service and our restaurant has been awarded 2 Red Rosettes and
is featured in the Good Food Guide 2001.Under the direction of head chef
Stephen Whitney, the hotel's Crescent Restaurant has become one of
London's most exceptional eateries. The menus, which change with the
seasons, feature modern British specialities. The "country garden"
atmosphere of the intimate restaurant makes the prospect of lingering over
an exquisite meal even more attractive. A prix fix "set lunch" offers
three full courses at a singular value. The Montcalm's bar with its marble
fireplace, deep green walls, comfortable chairs and open fire resembles a
traditional club where guests can enjoy a range of bar snacks as well as
afternoon tea, cocktails and wine by the glass.
